Alina Bolaños is a Costa Rican artist dedicated to her family and her art.
She started studying architecture for three years in Santiago, Chile. When moving to Costa Rica, the architecture career did not exist yet, so her studies were interrupted. She then decided to start experimenting with art. She entered the school of Fine Arts, where she stayed for another three years, learning all kinds of artistic expressions. Art has always been present in her life one way or another. Painting is her passion and her way of expressing herself. Among her great inspirations are her dancing granddaughters and trees. The movement in her art is expressed through the use of cheerful and vivid colors, creating spontaneous and organic pieces. This becomes a way of transmitting joy and optimism to the world. Painting has been a way of expressing what’s inside of her since she was a young girl.
