Mariana Lizano Cambronero is a Costa Rican dancer and teacher. She trained in classical ballet at the Atelier de ballet. She began her professional career in the Ballet de cámara Atelier, playing roles as lead dancer and soloist. Starting in 2009, she began to combine her ballet work with contemporary dance; she danced for the group JF contemporary ballet by Félix Morejón and Danza Vitral by Henriette Borbón, with whom she worked as an interpreter during the staging of her work Krise, National Prize for Best Choreography 2013. Mariana has 15 years of experience teaching ballet classes at various academies in the country; She worked as a teacher in the Independent Contact program of the National Dance Company of Costa Rica and currently teaches ballet at various studios across her country, mainly in Warehouse Dance Complex. She has participated as a choreographer and performer at the Graciela Moreno Festival of Choreographers at Festival de Coreógrafos Graciela Moreno- Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica She has been invited as an international judge in dance competitions in Panama and Nicaragua. From 2016 to date she has been a guest dancer in the role of Sugar Plum fairy in the national production of the Nutcracker ballet by Interamericana Producciones.
